Enabling the elderly to regain a balanced life
The approach adopted aims to improve living conditions, support better integration and, in general, fight against the exclusion of elderly people. It has been designed to address different types of needs, according to the circumstances of older persons. The Center targets seniors with no fixed address, no resources or family ties.
They are hosted according to various format: day activities, long-term stays or temporary accommodation. They receive special daily attention and specific care, administered to help them regain their autonomy and rebuild social ties.
Promoting a holistic approach to care
The facility offers comprehensive care through a variety of services. These include accommodation, catering, medical assistance, social assistance and physical and artistic activities. These services are provided in a tailored setting, built on a single level to account for mobility constraints. The Home also provides care and assistance in outpatient settings, thanks to ambulatory actions carried out by Emergency Social Services (SAMU social).
Serving as a regional reference for monitoring of the elderly
The Foundation has endowed this center with a Regional Observatory for the Elderly. Its mission is to contribute to observing and closely monitoring the social and medical situation of the elderly in the Rabat region. By combining this data with that relating to persons cared for in the Home, it has become possible to develop a benchmark of good practices pertaining to services provided to this category of citizens.
